What Makes Our Botanical Blend Unique
Every product in my line is handcrafted using a powerful blend of natural, organic botanicals and oils. I create my oils from scratch using traditional methods passed down through my family.

- Various traditional Caribbean and African herbs, also Cloves seed, Rose Marry, Orange sweet, Ginger root, Ecalyptus, Rice water, Oatmeal, lemon, tomurick, I can continue with all the different products and herbs for all the different types of problem hair types curl, straight, medium, all textures use different herbs to have it shine beautifully and great growth.

Natural Bases & Preservatives
I make my own natural glycerin from corn stalks, and I use plant-based thickeners and preservatives derived from corn, cassava, or yams. These allow me to create rich shampoos, conditioners, butters, and oils without harsh chemicals.
My haircare line was born from a personal struggle. After a thyroid condition caused severe hair loss, I returned to the natural remedies my mother used when I was a child. Her homemade hone oils (Batana call in the USA) were trusted for strengthening hair, promoting growth, improving skin, and supporting those with conditions like alopecia and thyroid issues. It’s also good for split ends and damaged hair.
When I recreated these formulas for myself, the results were so powerful that friends encouraged me to share them more widely. That’s when I decided to create a Narura botanical haircare line for all hair types, textures, and cultures so every king and queen can feel confident and beautiful.
After two years of perfecting these blends, I’m proud to bring you products rooted in tradition, love, and real, visible transformation.

Back Story
Jewel of the Caribbean was born from a personal struggle with thinning, brittle hair due to an immunosuppressant condition which causes severe and aggressive hair loss. I tried every product on the market that promised to reverse the effects of hair loss. Nothing worked and products that showed promise did not sustain results. That is when I returned to my roots and got to work in my kitchen. I remember all the natural ingredients my mother used from our farm to create holistic remedies in our family. Primarily her homemade Nicaraguan Hone oils. In the US, Hone is commonly known as Batana.
I took what I remember from my childhood and made it my own. What started off as a personal quest quickly evolved into a passion. Friends, family, work colleagues and strangers complimented my hair regularly and often asked what I used and asked for samples. I began expanding from the oil, to creating a full hair care line which consists of butters, pomades, hair sprays, Shampoos and Conditioners all infused with Hone.
After two years of perfecting the blend. I am proud to bring you products rooted in tradition, love, care and transformation.
